Melic are a four-piece rock band based in London. Their sound is derived from an eclectic blend of musicians – fusing a funk-rock bassist, a metal drummer, a classically trained pianist and saxophonist, and a rock singer/song-writer guitarist. Formed in 2008, the band have recorded two independently released EPs while cutting their teeth on the London live music circuit, headlining shows at many of the city’s top venues including The Borderline, Cargo, Barfly and the historic 100 Club. In 2011/2012 the band also had numerous UK festival appearances including Cornbury Festival ( headlined by Status Quo and The Faces) and Southern Sounds (headlined by INXS). Melic’s new EP titled ‘Nowhere I’d Rather Be’ is now on radio waves around the world and was released on iTunes (and other good online music stores) on 17th February 2012. The EP was produced By Paul Matthews ( I Am Giant, Tadpole, Stylus). A new music video for the title single is out now – click on ‘Video’ below. Keep an eye out for Melic in 2013! Melic is:
